Emma J. Frederick

Frederick, Emma J., 69, Monroeville, formerly of Cresson, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at her home. Born September 22, 1956, daughter of the late Pius E. and Takeko “Tiny” (Arakaki) McConnell. Emma is preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph W. Frederick; a grandson, Michael J. Gailey Jr.; and a brother, John W. McConnell. Survived by her children, Robert (Kristen) Frederick and Alison Gailey; grandchildren, Michaella (Jeremy) Smick, Jenna (Ilicia) Gailey, Alexander Gailey, Jolene Gailey, Sophia Frederick, and James Frederick; a great-grandson, Asher James “Boo” Smick; brothers, Rick McConnell, Sean McConnell, Leo McConnell, and Matthew McConnell; many cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Emma graduated from Penn Cambria High School in 1974 and was proud to stay involved in planning class reunions. She also remained dedicated all throughout the years attending every reunion she could. Most importantly, Emma enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson, who were her pride and joy. Family and friends will be received Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2 – 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
