Jerry was born on November 22, 1947, in Pasco, Washington, son of the late Howard Giles and Frances (Johnson) Giles.

Jerry’s love for adventure and passion for life created a wonderful legacy of living life to the fullest. He enjoyed camping, hiking, mountain climbing, sailing, building and flying RC planes, motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. He was a lifelong musician, along with collecting and restoring classic cars.

His greatest passion was his love for Jesus, Almeda Marie his wife of 57 years, and his ever-growing family.

Jerry’s career spanned across multiple industries including international construction, his father’s mechanical contracting business to accounting, and IT management for large tribal casinos.

Jerry will be missed as a husband, dad, grandpa, papa, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Almeda Giles; daughters, Sheri Rene Aven, Erika Lynn McCoy (Robert), and Lisa Christine Hempel (Nathan); grandchildren, Tim Aven, Stephanie Aven, Sam Aven, Asha Giles, Samantha Smith (Julian), Alissa Zavala (Mack), Madison James (Jamall), Kadyn Hempel, and Magnus Hempel; great grandchildren, Auddy, Olivia, Aliza, Atti, Rowan, Shiloh, Norah, Louden, Paxten, Corben, Theo, Madilynn, Oakland, Nevaeh, Juniper, and another blessing coming this summer.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his grandchild, Jocelyn and great grandchild, Reesa.

Jerry’s Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Acres Farms, 1868 Lowe Rd, Crossville, TN 38572 on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM. RSVP, cards, and condolences, or sharing of a favorite memory, can be received at the above address or via email to: [email protected].
