Gerald Good Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roseboro Stradling Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. - Denver on Jan. 14, 2026.
Gerald D. Good, 67, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January, 7th, 2026.

He was born in Ephrata and was the son of the late Lester T. and Kathryn (Ecenroad) Good. He was the loving husband of Cynthia E. (Mohler) Good for 46 years.

Gerry was an active member of Petra Church of New Holland. He served as a greeter and enjoyed his care group.

Gerry loved singing hymns. Music was a source of comfort and strength for him. He also loved playing hymns on his piano, which was originally owned by his great aunt. As a teenager he participated in "Voices of Victory" chorus.

Gerry enjoyed gardening and tried to outdo himself yearly by growing sweet potatoes that were 7 pounds or larger. He would take pictures to show to anyone he struck up a conversation with about gardening. One of his prized possessions was his 1982 Diesel Cub Cadet that was one of a kind and his father-in-law helped him get it.

Gerry's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Gerry enjoyed time spent working with his family to teach them, challenge them, and provide new tricks and methods. He always looked for opportunities for individual conversations as a way to build relationships with his family, his community and his church.

Connection was important to Gerry. He enjoyed talking on the phone as well as in person. When Gerry was dating Cindy, if he did not get to see her at Wednesday night Bible study, they had a lengthy phone call. This past fall, as he became less able to visit others or attend church in person, he would often text his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Keith, husband of Amy (Leber) Good, of Akron, Melissa, wife of Kyle Hershey, of Mountville, Trevor, husband of Lauren (Renno) Good of Mohton; 10 grandchildren, Ian, Addison, Isaac, Renee, Bryce, Gabriel, Clara, Beatrice, Zayla and Aurora; his brothers, Harold, husband of Lois Good, Stevens, Jay, husband of Chris Good, of Stevens and Ray, husband of Patti Good of Ephrata.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, at Petra Church, 565 Airport Road New Holland, followed by a celebration of life service, at 2:30 PM.
