Gerald Wayne Goodlett, age 74, husband of Betty Jean (Claunch) Goodlett, of Mackville died Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at home. Born May 11, 1951 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Harold Truman and Hildred Pauline (Lane) Goodlett. He was a skilled tradesman at Corning Glass for many years and a member of Mackville Baptist Church, he served as a Deacon and Trustee. Gerald enjoyed to hunt, fish and garden; most of all he loved being a poppy.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Goodlett; daughter: Amy Morgeson of Lebanon, KY and son: Gerald Wayne (Marlene) Goodlett II of Mackville, KY; one sister: Ruth Ellen (Rick) Curtsinger, three grandchildren, Gabriella "Gabby" Morgeson, Victoria "Tori" (Connor Buchanan) Morgeson and Gerald William "Will" Goodlett; one great granddaughter, Magnolia Mae "Maggie" Buchanan.

He is preceded in death by his Brother, Lawrence Gene Goodlett, brother Eddie Goodlett and Grandparents, Thurman "Big Daddy" and Ruth "Nannie" Goodlett.

The funeral will be 11am on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Ron Miller and Jay Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday July 31, 2025 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel from 5pm-8pm.

Pallbearers: Will Goodlett, Connor Buchanon, Timmy Tatum, Ronnie Best, Harold Baker, Ricky Curtsinger, Jessie Arnold, and Herbie Ashton.

Honorary bearers: Larry Devine, Earl McCray, Glenn Best, Howard Wohner, Pete Elliott, and Kenny Caudill.

Memorials have been suggested to Mackville Baptist Church, 10835 Main Street, Mackville KY, 40040.

Arrangements by Ransdell Funeral Chapel, where expressions of sympathy can be posted to Gerald's wall.
