Gerald H. Grucza

Gerald H. Grucza, 82, of Buffalo, entered into rest on May 28, 2025. Devoted husband of 52 years to the late Charlene (nee Dimmick) Grucza; beloved father of Lynn Grucza, Roger Domroes, and the late Michele Wodjan; cherished grandfather of Terence Harper, Jr., Paul (Tanisha) Wodjan, Alex Wodjan, Nukia Funderburk, Nukahri Funderburk and Takeo Funderburk; adored great-grandfather of Elijah Wodjan; loving son of the late Henry and Irene (nee Lelonek) Grucza; dear brother of John Grucza, Sr., Kathleen Darnell and Audrey (Matthew) Rozalski; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerald was honorably discharged from the US Army National Guard where he served 4 years. He retired from Kaleida Health Buffalo General after 36 years and then went to work at St. Joseph Hospital until he fully retired in 2017. Gerald also owned and operated Superior Building Maintenance from 1968-1973 and then Gerald Grucza Cleaning Services from 1990-2018. Gerald loved cars, whether it was an auction on TV or a classic car show. He loved watching TV, especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. He also enjoyed playing with his dogs. Above all, he will be remembered as a family man who made sure that his family was taken care of. He also loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen. No prior visitation. A celebration of Gerald's life will be held at a later time where he will be buried with his wife. Condolences may be made on this page.
