Gerald Lee Hahn, 81, of (Mexico) town of Richland, NY, passed away at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY on Saturday January 11, 2025. He was born to his late parents, Edith (Pratt) Hahn and Samuel A. Hahn on May 14, 1943 in the town of Onondaga, NY.
Gerald worked 30 years as a mechanic, followed by 12 years as a lineman for Verizon Company in Syracuse, NY.
Gerald enjoyed farming and gardening.
Predeceased by his wife of nearly 60 years, Patricia Marie (Carpenter) Hahn on July 5, 2023; his daughter Megan E. DeLong-Hahn on October 30, 2022.
Surviving are his children Gerald Lee Hahn, Jr. (Cheryl Hosford), Marc C. Hahn, Cathy Brown, and Ted Hahn (Holly Hutyera); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers Duane Hahn and Richard (Phyllis) Hahn; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours are on Saturday January 18, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 4:00 p.m. all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main Street, Phoenix, New York 13135. Pastor Karen Green of the Presbyterian Church, Mexico, NY will be officiating Gerald's service.
