He dearly loved his neighbors and daily visits, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Carole Hyatt Fontenot and husband Kevin Fontenot, Trina Hyatt and Jason Martin; grandchildren, Gerad Hyatt and fiancé Kayla Botty, Colt Fontenot and wife Olivia and Alex Fontenot and fiancé Jace Dalton; great grandchildren, Waylon Hyatt, Wrenley Hyatt, Silas Fontenot, Edward Bourque and Adalynn Fontenot; siblings Betty Smith, Lilly Mae Hyatt and Joyce Hyatt.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hyatt; parents, Harmon and Thelma Hyatt; sister Gloria Hyatt; brother in-law, Donald Smith.
