Gerald E. Keegan, 76, of Ballville Township, Ohio, passed away on November 16, 2025. Gerald was born on March 10, 1949, in Sandusky, Ohio. A loving husband, witty father, and generous grandfather, he was known for his sense of humor and the joy he brought to others.
Gerald was a proud employee of Whirlpool in Clyde, Ohio, where he performed his duties as an assembler for more than 54 years, earning the distinction of being the company's longest employed employee. He retired in 2022 leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work. In his leisure, Gerald was a proud owner of a 2008 Corvette Convertible and a 2003, 100th Anniversary Fat Boy Harley Davidson. He enjoyed showcasing his vehicles at numerous car shows in the surrounding area.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Keegan; his daughter, Nichole (Patrick) O'Hara; and his cherished granddaughter, Madelyn O'Hara. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Mary) Keegan and Clayton Keegan, as well as his brother-in-law, Leon Balduff and sister-in-law, Linda Keegan, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Sr. and Agnes Keegan, his sister, Virginia Balduff, and his brother, Howard Keegan.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio. Luncheon and gathering will follow at the Ridgeview Condominium Clubhouse, off Linda Drive in Ballville Township. Gerald's family encourages friends to bring your special car to celebrate his passion for cars. The family would love to see them!
Memorial contributions in honor of Gerald Keegan may be made to the American Heart Association.
