Richard T. Harrington

Richard Thomas Harrington, 81, of Bellevue and formerly of Clyde, passed away quietly at home on November 10, 2025. Born in Sandusky, Ohio, on July 28, 1944, he was the youngest of nine children born to the late Eunice (Kinney) and Homer Harrington. He was a 1963 graduate of Perkins High School. On September 12, 1964 he married the love of his life, Pamela Ruth Hall and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2018.

Richard spent much of his career as a conductor for the railroad. He also operated Rich's TV and Appliances for several years. He served on the Clyde Fire Department for 12 years retiring as a Lieutenant. Richard was also a proud member of several local organizations, including the Clyde VFW, Clyde Eagles, and the Clyde Moose.

Richard was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He found joy in being out in nature and the thrill of the pursuit. He enjoyed his morning coffee, playing computer games and the simple pleasures of life.

He leaves behind his surviving family: his children, Dianne (Kirk) Meyer of Bellevue, Scott Harrington of Burgoon, and Rebecca Bellard of Bellevue, grandchildren, Ashley (Mike) Mull of Bellville, Alicia (Phil) Vance of Clyde, Maxwell Harrington of Columbus, Callan Harrington of Columbus, Madelyn (Sam) Dagg of Clyde, Broc (Taylor) Kemenah of Bellevue, Melinda (Joe) Jusko of Clyde, Abigail Bellard and Katie Bellard both of Bellevue, twelve great grandchildren.

Richard's life will be celebrated on 1-5 pm, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Clyde Veterans of Foreign Wars, 847 West Maple Street, Clyde, Ohio, 43410. Please join us as we honor and remember a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
