GERALD L. "JERRY" MEYER
February 18, 1945 – December 24, 2025
GERALD L. "JERRY" MEYER, age 80, cherished father of Jerry (Gina) and Chris (Maureen); friend and former spouse of Maureen E. Meyer (deceased); loving grandfather to Olivia, Cal, Chris, Danny, Drew, Kevin and Emily; dear brother of Edward (deceased) (Elaine) and Susan (Stanley); son of the late Edward M. and Dorothy (Kottari) Meyer; loving uncle and very dear friend to many; passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025.
Jerry served in Vietnam in the US Army and held jobs in sales, home repair and was an ice skating guard at Winterhurst Ice Rink in Lakewood for almost 50 years. His favorite pastimes included sports cars, boats, water skiing, and country dancing (2-step and swing). Jerry also loved Cleveland Browns football, having breakfast at Canary's Restaurant and helping his sons and countless others with their home improvement projects. His advice and counsel were unmatched, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to especially thank Assisting Hands Home Care of Westlake and Miracle City Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care of Jerry in his final days.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 CENTER RIDGE ROAD (west of Columbia Road) ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7 FROM 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. Interment at Lakewood Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Miracle City Hospice or the Cleveland Clinic.
