Gerald Edward "Jerry, Millsy" Mill

Gerald Edward Mill, "Jerry", AKA "Millsy" age 74 passed away peacefully at Geisinger CMC January 12, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born February 9, 1951 in Honesdale, Pa to the late Harold R. and Patricia J. Mill.

In his younger years, he spent a lot of time on his grandparents farm in Indian Orchard. Jerry was an avid hunter for many years and enjoyed hunting with his grandfather and friends.

On July 31, 1971 he married the love of his life, Betty-Ann Kiefer.

Jerry worked at various local businesses starting with the family rubbish removal service HR Mill & Sons alongside his father and brother Mike. He and Betty-Ann eventually took over and ran a successful business for 20 years. He then drove truck for Waste Management for many years until his retirement in 2020. He enjoyed being retired and stress free by spending time with his family, going to car shows with his brother Mike, and getting out on as many Harley rides as the weather would allow.

Jerry is survived by his pride and joy- his daughter Christine Mill and granddaughters Jerrah-Ann and Morgan, his brothers Raymond "Mike" Mill and David Mill, and sister Marcie Bunting. He was predeceased by his loving wife Betty-Ann and an infant son. He is also missed by his sidekick dog, Jasper.

He was a wonderful man and will be missed and loved by his loving family, until we meet again.

Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Saturday, January 17th, 10 to 11:30. A blessing service will be held at 11:30.
