Gerald Dean Mitchell, 90, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Fort Worth, Tx. He was born on February 28, 1934, in Ladonia, Texas to Henderson and Lela Thomason Mitchell.
Gerald worked in construction most of his life and owned Southwest Sound Control based in Dallas until his retirement.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents H.D. and Lela Mitchell, brothers Freddy Mitchell, Harvey Mitchell, J.C. Mitchell and sisters Ollie Crow, Donna Mitchell, Marie Perkins, Evelyn Eller and Bertha Cummings, two children Cynthia Hermeyer and Grady Mitchell and two grandchildren.
Gerald is survived by son Jerry Mitchell of Dallas, several grandchildren and nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at Emerald Hills, Kennedale Tx, Friday, December 13th, at 2:30 p.m. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 1:30 p.m. at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
