Gerald Richard Morrow

Gerald Richard Morrow, known affectionately to friends and family as "Jerry," passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, in Leroy, Ohio, at the age of 95. Born on November 26, 1930, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Clarence and Celina M. Morrow (nee: McGuire) and cherished brother to John Milton "Milt" Morrow, who preceded him in death. Jerry was the dedicated husband to his late wife, Virginia, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories.
Jerry served his country with honor as a veteran of the Army during the Korean Conflict, a time in his life of which he was particularly proud. Returning from service, he embarked on a career as a Railroad Dispatch for Conrail, a role he filled with diligence and a strong sense of responsibility, earning the respect of his colleagues throughout his years of service.
A man of many interests, Jerry flourished in the embrace of nature. He proudly built his own cabin in West Spring Creek, PA, when he was just 23 years old-a testament to his remarkable skill and determination. This haven became a cherished spot for his favorite activities including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping. Always eager for adventure, Jerry also enjoyed traveling, exploring new places and making countless memories along the way.
Jerry's legacy is carried on by his son, Daniel "Dan" Morrow, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all benefited from his wisdom, kindness, and generous spirit. Gerald R. Morrow was a guiding force, a loving father, an admirable veteran, and an engaged member of his community-he will be remembered for his strong values, his love for his family, and his ever-present desire to lend a helping hand.
