Gerald W. "Jerry" Murchison

Presque Isle- Gerald W. "Jerry" Murchison Jr., 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Aroostook House of Comfort. He was born January 15, 1963, in Presque Isle, the son of Gerald W. and Linda E. (Langley) Murchison Sr.
Jerry grew up in Presque Isle and graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1981. Earlier in his life he proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with the Presque Isle Fire Department, cherishing the time spent alongside his father, who also served the community. Jerry dedicated many years as a social worker, finding joy and purpose in helping others.
He was deeply proud of his daughters and grandchildren and treasured every moment with them. He loved cooking, watching movies with "his girls," and sharing laughter about their inside jokes. His sense of humor and ability to make others smile were among his greatest gifts.
Jerry is survived by his three daughters: Kaci Ireland and her husband, Matthew; Alyssa Miller and her husband, Joshua; and Brooke Martin and her husband, Andrew. He also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Mason Ireland, Evan Ireland, Jaxson Ireland, Maisie Miller, Maddox Miller, Emmett Martin, and Mia Martin. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Linda Murchison; two sisters, Laurisa Charette and Melissa Murchison; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends Dana Drake, Brian Colton, and Greg Flewelling. Jerry was predeceased by his father, Gerald W. Murchison Sr., in 2023.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Aroostook House of Comfort for their care and compassion during Jerry's final days.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, where a service will be conducted at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, in Presque Isle, at a later date.
