Gerald B. Norris II, affectionately known to his friends and family as Jerry, Passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at the age of 80, in Painesville, Ohio. Born on December 4, 1944, in Marysville, Ohio. Jerry's early life laid the foundation for a lifetime of devotion to his family, his country, and his community.

Jerry proudly served his nation as a veteran of the U.S.Army. His time at Arlington National Cemetery performing Military Honors for those lost during the Vietnam Conflict was a great honor and something he was extremely proud of. It was a testament to his deep respect for his fellow veterans and commitment to service. Characteristics that would go on to define his persona throughout his life. After fulfilling his military obligations, Jerry channeled his work ethic and skills into a successful career as a Septic Inspector. He had a long and prosperous career in which he befriended many characters. He retired from Lake County General Health District in 2004.

Jerry's academic journey, crowned by his graduation from Bowling Green State University, was a personal achievement. He was forever a Falcon who encouraged

others to be as well.

Jerry had many hobbies. He was an avid gardener and enthusiast of native plants, sharing many of them with friends and neighbors. He was a die-hard Indians fan whose only wish was to see them win a World Series in his lifetime. His love for old cars was an obsession he shared with others. Most knew he enjoyed talking about his Ford Mustang and other Ford vehicles that he planned to restore someday. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and trapping which is something he carried into his young adulthood.

Family was an important part of Jerry's life. He shared a deep bond with his wife Judy, doing many things together. They were married for 59yrs, in the end she cared for him in his rapid decline. His children, Jeff (Alyson) Norris and Melissa (Jon) Demaline. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren Kaleb and Addison Demaline.

Jerry will be remembered as a man of integrity, generosity, and kindness. He approached life with a sense of humor and an answer for everything whether known or not. His mannerisms and stories will be retold by friends and family which will ensure his spirit lives on in those he touched.

He is survived by his beloved wife Judith (Rahn) Norris, son Jeff (Alyson) Norris of Avon, Ohio and his daughter Melissa (Jon) of Toledo, Ohio. He leaves his grandchildren Kaleb and Addison Demaline.

The family would like to sincerely thank all those who cared for Jerry in his final stage. The staff at Heritage Healthcare and Hospice of the Western Reserve. You are appreciated. Thank you to Johnson Funeral Home for making this " comfortable."
