Gerald P. Parshall, age 90, of Erie passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness.
He was born in Erie on June 15,1935 to the late Paul and Clara Lawrence Parshall.
Gerald graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1954 and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He was a carpenter and worked for the Erie School District for over 40 years, retiring in 1997. He was a President of Local Allied Trades for the Erie School District. Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Mancuso Parshall; his son, Joseph Parshall; sister, Diane Smith and brothers, Ronald and Richard Parshall.
He leaves behind to cherish him in memory his children, Steve (Kim) of Albion, Mark (Linda) of Waterford, Kim Lawrence of Erie, and Lori Parshall of Erie; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is further survived by a brother, John “Jack” Parshall and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Emmaus Soup Kitchen, 218 East 11th Street Erie, PA 16503.
Burial will be private and arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510.
