Gerald "Jerry" Saurage Jr.

Gerald "Jerry" Saurage, Jr. age 68 died on April 22, 2022 at Ochsner Medical Center. Beloved husband of Cathey Beninate Saurage. Loving father of Brannon Saurage Gillies (Mike Verges). Loving step-father of Kevin LaCour (Tracy) and Tracey Schlink. Grandfather of Tyler Menesses, Landen Schlink, Kennedy Schlink, McKenzie LaCour, McKenna LaCour and McKayla LaCour. He is also survived by his sister Rainell Price (Tom) and brother Roger Saurage (Beverly), several loving nieces and nephews and his dog Toby He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Saurage Sr. and Earleen Saurage, his Father in Law John Beninate and Aunt Serida Beninate. Jerry attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He went on to be the successful business owner of several Tastee Donut Shops. At the time of his death he was the owner of Custom Mailer. Jerry enjoyed spending time with family, crawfish boils and keeping everyone laughing with his witty humor. He was also an avid New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers fan. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff in the Medical Step Down and Medical Intensive Care Units at Ochsner Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care in his final days and moments. There will be a private family gathering to celebrate his life at a future date. Arrangements are being made by Bagnell and Son Funeral Home.
