WORCESTER - Gerald J. "Jerry" Sawyer, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital. Born and raised in Berlin, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Josephine Sawyer.
Jerry was a graduate of Tahanto Regional High School. He went on to further his education at Fitchburg State College and worked in their computer lab until his retirement. Jerry was a gentle man with a kind soul who never complained. He was an avid outdoorsman and was always ready to go camping, kayaking, hunting or fishing. He made many friends during his life in Fitchburg and in his final years while living at Christopher Heights in Worcester. Above all else, he loved his family.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his two sisters, Kathy and Sandra; many nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Ken, Tom, Paul and Richard and his sister, Judy.
