Rockaway Township: It is with great love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerald "Jerry" Silverman, who was born on March 3, 1944, and passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by family.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Jerry lived a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, and family. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, he was a life long Yankee fan. He shared 33 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Judith Silverman, with whom he built a home overflowing with warmth and kindness. Together, they made cherished memories traveling to Maui, HI every year, and they enjoyed time in their homes in Long Beach Island, NJ, and San Antonio, TX, while always returning to their primary residence in Wharton, NJ.

He is predeceased by his parents Sarah Silverman, and Sam Silverman as well as his two sisters: Ethel and Sandra.

He is survived by his loving family: His beloved wife, Judith. His son Seth St. Giles and wife Dina; His daughter Michelle and her three children, Guiwynneth, Gareth, and Tzipporah; and great-grandson Noah, son of Guiwynneth. His son Jeffrey Jordano and wife Karen, and their children Jessica and David; He is also remembered by Christina Jordano.

Those who knew Jerry will remember his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a man filled with love, whose gentle spirit touched everyone around him. His memory will forever remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held 3pm to 6pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home , 216 South Main Street, Wharton NJ 07885.

Interment will be private.
