Gerald Eugene Stewart 88 of Meridian Idaho is a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend went home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 7, 2025.

Gerald (Gary), was born July 17, 1937. He was the first son of seven children to Veda Turner and Gerald D. Stewart in Nampa Idaho. Gary had six younger siblings Darlene, Barbara "AKA" Karmen, David, Ramon, Suzanne and later Terry Joe, who's father was Blaine Petersen.

Gary graduated from Nampa High School.

Growing up, Gary love to hunt, fish, and ride horses. At age 20 he met the love of his life Iletta Dodson and they married on July 19, 1957. They had four children. Penny, Renee, Gary lee, and Danny. Shortly after they married Gary enlisted in the army.

Gary worked in sales for many years. At the end of his sales career he retired from Commercial Tire company. To know Gary was to love him and he knew no strangers. Everyone knew his name.

Gary had a deep love for hunting and a passion for collecting guns. He loved his animals and especially to ride horses. Gary was an excellent horseman and had a natural sense with horses. He taught his siblings and his own children how to care for the horses that they had. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the youth and 4-H program. He loved to teach kids how to care for animals. He loved being a member of the Ada County mounted Sheriff's posse and riding with them in rodeos and parades.

Gary loved his church and had an amazing testimony that he enjoyed sharing it. Family was always the most important thing to him and he would remind us all not to forget to be prayerful.

After Gary and Ilettia retired they spent several years traveling with the Good Sam's travel Club and enjoyed meeting new people who would be life long friends.

Gary was proceeded in death by his wife Iletta, and his 2 daughters Penny and Renee.

Gary leaves behind his 2 sons, Garylee and Danny and son in law Enrique. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
