I just saw this in my Gannon alumni magazine and was shocked to hear of Stu´s passing. At Gannon, we´d quite often sing along to whatever song was being played in the lounge, always substituting STU for anything that rhymed, like you, new, too, et al when Stud was there. He got a kick out of that. He was always smiling and one of the nicest people I´ve met in my entire life. Gone way too soon my friend. RIP Stu. My condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to Stu's family. He was part of a group of friends back in the 80's that went to Hunter's Inn on W. 26th Street. He was an a very nice person and I can't believe he is gone. I would see him every year with Mary Ann at the St. Boniface chicken dinners. Rest in peace Stu.

I only met Stu a few times - through Mark Cooney (see his comment above) - but was impressed by what a great guy he was: friendly, open, bright, easy to be around. Wishing comfort to all his family and friends.

Stu was a kind and gentle soul and a fierce teammate and opponent on the basketball court. Spent may Friday nights hooping with Stu and a gang of others at the Rolling Ridge Elementary School Gym in the 1990s and 2000s. Great times and great memories. R.I.P. my friend.

My condolences to Mary Ann and James and all of Stu's family. He is and will be missed forever. I had the great and genuine pleasure of calling Stu my lifelong friend. Up , down or
anywhere in between you could always count on Stu to have your back. 51 years of friendship is not going to ever be replaced , just remembered.EveryMarch sure as spring coming there was Stu with his stats and prognostications about the NCAA tournament. Many times over the last 30 years we traveled to the sites of the games and watched with an almost reverence for the action. Rest in peace my friend. I will miss you.

Our dearest Buddy Stu will be long remembered in our Erie Insurance family. I have worked with Stu for decades and could always count on his "Morning buddy" greeting and his smile every day. Stu was kind to everyone and took an interest in your life at work and outside of work. He liked to "keep track" of when you were late to work or left a little early to make sure all was well with you. Stu loved people, the special Stu parties we had to celebrate him, and he really enjoyed being the main feature of numerous photoshop pictures. Stu lived his life as Jesus taught us. He was kind to everyone, he would do anything to help you, he could laugh at himself, and he started each morning with a smile. I feel very blessed to have been part of his life. Jesus is smiling and saying to our buddy: "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Stu was one of the nicest people I knew. He was kind, generous and always made me laugh. We always had a good time when we were together. I will miss the weekly basketball games we played at some of the local gyms. He was a decent player and loved playing, as did I. I will miss him.
