Gerald Thurk Obituary
Gerald graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1970 and attended Fullerton College in California.
Gerald was a long-time employee of Menasha Corporation, working at the company for nearly 42 years before his retirement in June 2015.
Gerald loved fishing at Fay Lake Resort in Florence County and the friends he met at the resort every year. He also loved gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers, and was a foreign car enthusiast -- but his real passion was woodworking. Gerald could make anything, and he particularly loved to create projects for family and friends with various beautiful hardwoods.
Gerald is survived by his son, Derek Dachelet; granddaughter, Claire Dachelet; and sisters, Carol (Bill Reilly) Thurk; Marla Thurk; and Linda Thurk. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside service for Gerald will be held at St. Peters Cemetery in Larsen, Wisconsin.
