Gerald Frederick "Jerry" Titlow

Gerald Frederick "Jerry" Titlow, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel.
Jerry was born June 6, 1943 in Beckley, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Frederick Titlow and Maureen Boyer Titlow. Later the family moved to North Carolina and Jerry grew up in Charlotte.
Jerry always loved horses and would ride his bike to stables and do various jobs in exchange for horseback rides. He not only loved horses. He dreamed of being a cowboy in the west. When he was twelve, he even wrote a ranch in Wyoming asking for a summer job. He actually was offered one, but of course his parents did not allow him to go. A few years later, he did fulfill his dream.
First, though he began college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he pledged Sigma Chi Fraternity.
His love for the west never waned. After receiving a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University, he did go west and was employed by an outfitter in the Jackson Hole area. He found his calling taking people for extended trips in the Wyoming back country.
Subsequently he came to Georgia and was in management in the carpet industry. Later he had a sales business and then began retirement, enjoying substitute teaching.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Kay (Domingos) Titlow, his daughter Kelley, Eric, Mia and Abbey Stuart and Lisa Colby and Jennifer, Rory and Kit Drake and Moira, Zaac, Carter and Aubrey Kayne
