Gerald Trott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Jan. 8, 2026.
Gerald "Jerry" A. Trott, age 89, of Tripoli, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, under the care of his loving family and Hope Hospice at the home of his daughter. Jerry was born on March 24, 1936, in West Bend, WI, to the late Alfred and Eleanor (Reinders) Trott. He graduated from Boy's Tech in Milwaukee, WI, in 1954. His chosen profession was as a Welder.
Jerry was married to Josephine Cicirello on May 28, 1960, in Milwaukee, WI. Together, they had six daughters. In 1978, they moved to the Willow Region in the Tripoli area where they owned and operated Mama Jo's Restaurant. Jerry joined the Tripoli Fire Department and spent 20 years as a member of the department. He was also a member of the Willow Region Sportsmen Club. His hobbies included woodworking and being an all-around handyman. Most recently, he enjoyed horticulture.
Jerry had a way of making everyone he met feel like family. He gave the best hugs and cared for his family deeply. He always said, "If I made someone smile, that made my day". If he gave you one of his famous root beer barrels, you knew he liked you.
Survivors include seven daughters, Denise Trott, Cathy (Gary) Henrichs, Constance (Mike) Trott, JJ (Mark) Henrichs, Jacky (Lonnie) Dunbar, Paula Bergman, and Dianne (Steve) Cicirello-Fricano; his nephew, Jory Pradjinski; his aunt, Mary Jane Sternot; his cousin, Billy Reinders; his great-nephew, John Pradjinski; his great-niece, Sarah Pradjinski; and his half-sister, Carol Langkamp. Jerry is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Eleanore; his sisters, Rosalie Moyer and Janice Pradjinski; his brother-in-law, Jim Pradjinski; and his nephew, Jeffrey Pradjinski.
Years ago, Jerry requested to donate his body to science at UW Madison. Just like in life, Jerry will still be teaching and others will be learning. We will miss his bright smile and the warmth of his loving embrace.
His family would like to thank Hope Hospice of Medford, WI, for all of their wonderful care.
Lastly, Jerry would say every day, "I had to listen to obituaries on WJJQ this morning to see if I passed away before I could put my pants on for the day".
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

Cathy, we haven't spoken in decades, but I'll always remember you! We worked together at Frank & Hiller in the early 80s. I worked for Jim at the time. I just wanted to reach out and offer my sincere condolences. I hope the wonderful memories you have of your Dad sustain you.
