One glad morning, the call was made for Mr. Gerald Edison Turner to fly away. The call was made on October 29, 2024. from
Wichita,Kansas
Gerald Edison Turner affectionately known as "G", "Uncle G" and "G.E.T" was born February 24, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas to Evelyn Faye Witherspoon and Claude Turner. Gerald attended elementary school in Wichita, Horace Mann Jr. High School and went on to graduate from Wichita North High School.
Gerald had many talents, he had a black belt in Karate, he loved to draw, he loved to cook and would let you know he was a very good one too, and learned from the best, his mother. He also loved to dance, at any chance he got he would share a move or two, maybe three. Last but least, keeping us all in line, his exact words were, "I am the Alpha Male."
Gerald loved all the holidays, birthdays, family dinners, he enjoyed celebrating them all. He just loved being around people, especially the little ones, watching them play and making them laugh. Gerald, AKA G, Uncle G, G.E.T, had a major love for his family and close friends and it showed. Gerald loved us all dearly and we loved him more.
Gerald is preceded in death by his grandmother/Big Mama Bama Poindexter, Grandfather Charley Witherspoon, Mother Evelyn Faye Lawrence, Father Claude Turner, Sisters: Gerald Dean and Loretta Patterson, Brother: Roy Banks and his Nephew Taurus Hampton.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memories: Aunt Daise Carter, Uncle Benjamin Witherspoon, Brothers Doyle/Lulu Washington and Demetrius/Sheryl Johnson; Sisters Vickie/Sherman Shaver and Alisha/Ronnie Lawrence; Stepfather Morris Lawrence, host of Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Great-Great nieces, Great-Great Nephews, cousins, Family and Friends.
