Gerald L. Warner, of Albion, went home to be with his Savior on January 1, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Jerry was born in Erie on May 18, 1946, the son of Laverne and Laura Hall Warner. He graduated from McDowell High School and worked as an installer at GTE/Verizon for 37 years. He was known to customers throughout Fairview and Girard for his cheerful whistle and excellent workmanship. After retiring, Jerry moved to West Springfield and Springboro before settling in Albion. He had many dogs, cats, and horses and became known as Farmer Jerry to his grandchildren. Jerry was a gifted guitarist who loved to play and sing for his family, friends, and church. When his family was young, he had enjoyed taking them camping, swimming, and bike riding around Presque Isle. He was always busy and could be found tinkering on cars and small engines and doing repair projects. He was a member of Conneaut Church of God in Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Paul Warner, and his son Phillip Warner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan Sealy Warner; his sons, Kirk Warner (Christy) of Erie and Mark Warner (Beth) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Sarah (Dustin), Zachary, Savannah, Chelsea (Ryan), Ashley (Nathan), Jorja, Alyssa, and Brayden. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet States, Doris Harris, Nancy Miller and Patty Babka.
Funeral arrangements are private. Donations may be made to the Parkinson's Partners of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
