Gerald "Jerry" Zulli, 76, passed away on August 28, 2025, at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was a retired Estate and Corporate Planner as well as a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jerry lived with a zest for life that left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and his presence could light up a room the moment he walked in. Known for his bright smile, quick wit, and amazing sense of humor, Jerry never met a stranger. He had a knack for turning people into friends and animals into fans. Everyone's pets lined up for his attention. He was the guy your dog trusted and your cat secretly adored. He is survived by his wife, Suzie Zulli, and his sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and David Hamburg, along with their children Elise and Chad, his beloved niece and nephew. Jerry was the proud father of three daughters: Christen Zulli Frank and her husband Luke Frank, with their children Xavier and Emza; daughter Lauren Zulli; and daughter Liz Zulli, with her daughter Frankie Torpey. He was preceded in death by their mother, Carole Zulli. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter Ashley Joyner and her husband Johnathan, with their children Ashjanae, Marcellus, and Jasmin; his stepdaughter Samantha Fortney; his foster daughter Destiny Christopher and her husband Armon Quinones; and his mother-in-law, Mary Fortney, who cherished him deeply. Every minute of Jerry's life was filled with humor. Whether in everyday moments or at the blackjack tables, he was larger than life and carried himself as a winner. His days were marked by the love he gave, the joy he shared, and the way he embraced life with open arms. A force unlike anyone else, his amazing sense of humor, wit, charm, and spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Jerry's memory.
