Geraldine Amaro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castillo Funeral Home on Oct. 13, 2025.

On February 18, 1942 Antonio and Lucille Amaro welcomed their second child, a beautiful daughter Geraldine L. Amaro. With all the excitement of their second child, a name had not yet been decided, until she was born, one of the nurses gave Geraldine her own name and then used her moms first name as a middle name, Geraldine Lucille Amaro, also known as Gerry. Gerry was surrounded by her loved ones on October 7, 2025 as she was called back home to the Lord. Gerry joined her parents, Antonio and Lucille, as well as all her siblings, Maria Antonia Amaro, Guadalupe ( Lupita )Amaro, Juan Flores Amaro, and Dolores Amaro Rodriguez.

Gerry worked hard all her life especially at her job with USSA, which she loved, was at for over thirty years. Gerry loved being around her family, especially being a wonderful aunt, almost another mom, to her niece and nephews. Gerry enjoyed going out to family trips out to eat or even spending quality time with her family whether it is for a special holiday or not. Gerry also loved to watch a good Spurs game or even a good Dallas Cowboys game any day! What was most important to Gerry the most was her faith. No matter what went on in her life Gerry loved our Lord. She not only continued her faith through the good and the bad times, Gerry would always encouraged her family, especially her niece and nephews, to continue their faith and love for our Lord God and to never loose faith.

Gerry was a very beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by all who have known and loved her.
