Geraldine Catherine "Gerry" Bargenquast, age 98, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Preston Place in Redgranite.
She was born March 11, 1927, in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Anthony and Catherine Leib Testolin. On September 16, 1945, she was united in marriage to Wallace Bargenquast in Calumet County.
Gerry worked for Briggs & Stratton. She enjoyed baking, bowling, going to Florida with Wally and spending time with the Sacred Heart ladies' group. Gerry got her hair done every Friday for 42 years at Timm's Hair Salon in Poy Sippi!
She is survived by her children, Lonnie Selthofner, Dennis Bargenquast, Lynn Hauck, Allen (Sally) Bargenquast and Dwayne (Paula) Bargenquast; six grandchildren, Brian (Marianne), Tina, Mark (Michelle), Sammy (Dan), Allen and Madyson; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and friends. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Wally, in 2013; grandson, Jerome Unke; and son-in-law, John Selthofner.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 25, at 3:00 p.m., at Pine River Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi. A memorial has been established.
