Geraldine "Geri" Blasko

Geraldine "Geri" "Sis" Blasko, age 100, of Richfield, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 23, 2025.

Geri is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Losse & Carrie Rose; Siblings, Myron "Hap" Rose, Harold Rose, Jean Zastrow and Genevive Kouri. She is survived by her loving family: sons Jeff and Scott (Audrey); daughter Nancy (Paul); grandchildren Jenny (Chris), Christie (Andy), Jonny, Michelle (Kyle), Karen (Paul); step-grandchildren Laura (Brian) and Keith (Whitney); great-grandchildren Josie, Rhett, and Duke; step-great-grandchildren Luke, Anna, Eli, Duncan, and Vada Von; along with many cherished relatives and dear friends.

Born in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, Geri spent much of her childhood in Alexandria-years she often described as the most treasured of her life-where she proudly earned the nickname "Sis." After graduating from high school, she moved to Minneapolis, where she met the love of her life, John Blasko, while at work on the 25th floor of the Foshay Tower.

Geri enjoyed her years working at Milhoff Steel while raising three children and keeping a lively social circle of friends and neighbors. She loved spending time with her family, had a strong affinity for the color blue, and never missed her daily newspaper. Above all, she never turned down the chance to play a game of cards.

Geri will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends. A private family service will be held to honor Geri's life. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
