Geraldine M. Buresh

Funeral services for Geraldine M. Buresh, age 95, of Stanton, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk. Reverend Alexander Blanken will officiate, with interment in New Lutheran Cemetery in Norfolk.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.

Geraldine passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Stanton Health Center.

Geraldine Minnie Buresh was born August 21, 1930, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Herman and Clara (Fundum) Gall. She attended St. John's Parochial Grade School in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1948.

Following graduation, Geraldine worked for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Battle Creek, Madison, and Norfolk.

On July 24, 1965, Geraldine married Lumir Buresh at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Early on, the couple farmed eight miles south of Stanton. In 1973, they moved to the Carroll area where they continued to farm.

In addition to helping Lumir with the family farm, she taught Sunday School at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Carroll.

Geraldine is survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Gene and Dick Gall; and sisters, Vivian Gall Rumsey and Ann Gall Mavis.
