Graveside funeral service for Geraldine Faulkner Creson, age 89, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Booneville Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
Geraldine was born on June 6, 1936, in Lincoln County, TN, to the late Calvin Faulkner and Katherine McGee Faulkner. A devoted member of Mimosa Church of Christ, Geraldine lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and a steadfast willingness to help others. She never wanted to be a burden to anyone but was always ready to lend a hand wherever needed.
Geraldine had a deep love for her farm and knew every inch of it better than anyone. Her greatest joy, however, came from cooking for and spending time with her beloved family. She passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, in the Mimosa Community, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Tommy) Franklin, Maurice (Betty) Creson, and Dwight (Debbie) Creson; grandchildren, Adrian (Nikki) Franklin, Curtis (Emily) Creson, Radina (Adam) Gentry, and Stephanie (Zach) Collier; great-grandchildren, Madde Shelton, Case Creson, Anna Layne Franklin, Calley Franklin, Luke Gentry, Owen Gentry, Rhett Franklin, Tate Gentry, Ryatt Collier, Colt Roy Collier, Bennett Gentry, and Zaidee Collier; sisters, Judy Allen, and Janice Abbott; and sister-in-law, Janice Faulkner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Filmore Creson; her brother, Doug Faulkner; and her grandson, Nicholas Creson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nicholas Creson Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Maurice Creson, 31 Hamestring Road, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Geraldine Faulkner Creson.
