Geraldine Frederick

Geraldine “Dean” Larsen Frederick, age 95, passed away peacefully February 11, 2026 with her daughters by her side. She was born November 18, 1930 in Richfield, Utah. She grew up with her three sisters, Shirley, Patricia, and Mila Vee in Central Valley and Richfield where they made lifelong memories.

Dean married Rell Worthen Frederick on May 7, 1952 in Fredonia, Arizona. After Rell was discharged from the navy, they moved to Marysvale, Utah and it was there they began their life together and raised their three girls. She had 56 wonderful years with Rell before his passing in 2008 and she never quit missing him.

Dean loved living in Marysvale and had many lifelong friends from there. She was a hard worker and loved doing projects alongside Rell. She always kept her yard neat and clean and even mowed her own lawn well into her 80’s. She was a fantastic housekeeper and her home was always immaculate. She was the queen of clean and tried to teach her girls to be the same. Dean was a great cook and she always had a good breakfast in the morning before work and school and a warm supper ready for the family at the end of the day. She liked to bake and her cinnamon rolls were to die for. She also enjoyed sewing, woodworking, and quilting. She made all the kids and grandkids quilts on multiple occasions.

Dean is survived by her daughters, Carol (John) Kimball, Karen (Mitch) Spackman, and Sharon (Mike) Radcliff; sister Vee Gleave along with 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Patricia (Jay) Barney and Shirley Jensen; granddaughter, Mitzi Conover; brother-in-law, Wendell Gleave.

The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to Sue and all the staff at Monroe Canyon Assisted Living for their compassionate and loving care of their mom during her final days.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 12:00 Noon in the Marsyvale Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Thursday, prior to the services from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ward Chapel in Marysvale. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery.
