Geraldine Goodwin Obituary
Geri graduated from Saint Anthony's High School, married and raised two beautiful daughters. She worked as a cashier and then a manager of Cumberland Farms on Main Street. Geri worked at several local grocery stores for many years where she offered many smiles and made many friends. Geri ended her professional career in her mid-seventies at The Pines of Bristol, CT. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and researching the family genealogy.
Besides her parents, Geri was predeceased by her brother, David. She is survived by two daughters, Deanna DeMichele and husband Joseph of North Carolina, and Tamara Reidda and husband Danny of Arizona. Also, by her siblings, William Parente and wife Ellie of Burlington; Roberta Hudak and husband Michael of Bristol; and Janice Olsen and husband David of New Hampshire; grandchildren Kendal and Matthew DeMichele of North Carolina; nieces and nephews Michelle (Hudak) Paradis and husband Steve; Tarah (Olsen) Sullivan and husband Scott; Ryan Olsen and wife Camber; J.P. Parente and Kristin Parente; grandniece Samantha Sullivan and grandnephews Jacob Sullivan and Rune Olsen.
There are no calling hours. A memorial donation may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 363 7th Ave., Lbby, New York, NY 10001 or The Alzheimer's Association at BrightFocus Foundation 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD 20871
The family would like to thank The Pines of Bristol, CT for their fine care during her illness.

Sending heartfelt condolences to Geri´s loved ones. She was a very special neighbor and friend. She was someone I looked forward to chatting with. She loved to share stories of her family´s home and how the neighborhood has changed over the years. She told me about her pet skunk as a kid and her 2am sledding down the street just this past winter on a quiet, picture perfect, snowy morning. She beamed with pride the very first time she gave me a tour of her garden! Geri had a heart of gold, always looking out for her neighbors and she just loved to make you laugh. She´d walk down the street daily to check on her oldest friend and say hello to the new ones along the way. She was a special women indeed who is missed tremendously!

Dear family of Geri Goodwin, I am so sorry to hear of her passing. We go way back as life long members of St. Anthony School and Church. We gave her rides home from church, went out to lunch with mutual friends. She was just a kind and gentle woman. She was a friend to all in the grocery store. My mother just thought she was so nice as she treated her with kindness and respect all the time whenever she saw her. Rest In Peace Geri.
