Mrs. Geraldine Morgan Johnson, age 83, of Adairsville, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:32AM at Floyd Atrium Medical Center.
Geraldine was born in Alabama, January 4, 1943, daughter of the late Annie Leola Brooks Morgan and Thomas Elijah Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Lavorgel Olon Johnson in 1997 and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her beloved children, Tina Mills and husband Milton, Teresa Franklin and husband Keith, and Randy Johnson and wife Kim; grandchildren, Natasha Zabek and husband Josh, Tia Kelley and husband Brett, Tamera Smith and husband Ben, Thomas Johnson, and wife Ashton, Maranda Agan, Charles Agan, Josh Agan, Billy Mills, and Amy Mills; 22 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews.
Geraldine Johnson was a woman of strong faith and unwavering devotion to her family. She retired from Shaw Industries after years of dedicated service and was well known in the community for her delicious biscuits at Owens BBQ, which were enjoyed by many. Geraldine spent her life working hard to provide for those she loved, always putting her family first. She was the very best mother, a wonderful grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Geraldine lived her life with kindness and strength, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished for generations to come.
Honoring Geraldine’s wishes she will be cremated with a celebration of her life held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00PM at the home of her daughter, Teresa and Keith Franklin, located at 285 East Pleasant Valley Road, Adairsville, GA 30103.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Geraldine Morgan Johnson.
