Ms. Retta Irene Bramblett, 86, of the Folsom community, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 5, 2026.
Retta was born in Adairsville, GA, February 16, 1939, daughter of the late Annie Mae Loucile Bramblett. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Jason Elrod and Samuel Elrod, Jr., and great-grandson, Russell Wyatt Holden.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Anna “Sue” Elrod; grandchildren, Dudley Elrod, Jeff Elrod, and Ann Elrod Holden; great-grandchildren, Chase Horn, Holly Serritt, Allyson Savannah Elrod, Brandon Elrod, and Bentley Murphy Holden; great great-grandson, William Serritt; several cousins and dear friends also survive.
Retta was a faithful member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and spent many years working in the textile industry. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed working puzzles in her spare time. Above all, Retta loved her family dearly, and her kindness and devotion will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00PM from Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Dale Bramblett and Barry Adcock officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Adairsville.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
