Geraldine A. Neef

Geraldine A. Neef, age 83, was born on November 5, 1940 in Hoboken, New Jersey to the late Giovanni Fucito and Mildred (Verta) Fucito.
Geraldine grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and graduated from Hackensack Hospital School of Nursing. In addition to her skills as a nurse in the OR and ICU, Geraldine had a love for reading and earned her bachelor's degree in English literature. She also had a love for cooking and earned an associate's degree in culinary arts and worked in several restaurants and country clubs in the local area. Geraldine returned to healthcare when she became the manager for her husband's medical practice. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband Thomas A. Neef, MD, children Kathleen, Matthew and Michael and their spouses Brad, Lynda and Michelle. Geraldine is also survived by her grandchildren Bella, Crystal, McKeon, Billy, Cormac, Zachary and Britta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00PM, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at St. John the Beloved Roman Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to the church on Tuesday for a viewing from 10:30AM – 11:30AM with a Rosary to be said at 11:30AM.
