Geraldine Plummer, 72, of Blakelee, PA passed away Tuesday, June 18, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in the Poconos.
She was the loving wife of James C Plummer Sr. They recently celebrated 53 wonderful years together and have lived in the Pocono Mountains for the past 16 years,
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Cleo and Marie Hazel Middleton.
Known as Jeri to all those who loved her, she enjoyed playing Jazz music, on-line games, gardening, and connecting with friends on Facebook. She loved seafood, and sharing family recipes and trying new ones. She also enjoyed going to Atlantic City to gamble on her favorite machines and taking walks down to the water to dip her toes in the ocean. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grands, and the love of her life, James. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her children, Deleen Sheree Lawrence, Tanika Marie Alexander, James C. Plummer Jr.; her grandchildren, Divini, Nyle, Fatir, and Tavani Lawrence, Jasmine and Camille Alexander; her great grandchildren, Mason, Davante, Alliyah, Karter, McKenzie, Atreus, and a 7th great grandchild to be born later this year; her stepchildren, Kevin and Tyrone Simmons; and her son-in-laws, DeWayne Lawrence and Joshua Alexander. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Wanda Simmons. Jeri was also known as "Ma" to so many neighborhood kids whom she watched grow, and still claimed as her own children til her last day.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
