It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Geraldine (Gerry) Price Satterfield, who left this world on February 19, 2026 at the age of 90, losing her battle with Alzheimer's. Born on January 12, 1936 in
Wilmington, Delaware, Gerry was a loving daughter, devoted mother, and cherished friend to many.
Gerry dedicated her life to her family, raising two daughters with unconditional love and unwavering support. She was a guiding light in our lives, always putting her family first and instilling in us the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. Her strength and grace in the face of adversity inspired us all.
In addition to her role as a mother, Gerry was passionate about her love of creative arts. She found joy in painting, drawing and sewing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her warmth and laughter touched everyone she met. Her daughters both have some of her paintings and drawings. She loved to play board and card games. When her daughter and grandsons visited, she would play games with them.
Gerry is survived by her daughter, Tracy and husband Kevin Wittman; daughter, Gay Myrick; grandchildren: Jason Wittman, Matthew Wittman, Samantha and husband Michael Block, and Mariah Myrick; great grandchildren: Sean Wittman, Allyana Wittman, and Caiden Block; and bonus great-grands: Blaise and Cole Keene. Surviving relatives: brother-in-law, John (Mickey) Satterfield and his wife June; sister-in-law, Pat Douglas and her husband Dave; and eight nieces and nephews, all of Delaware.
Gerry will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Cathleen Price of Fenwick Island, DE; and her loving husband of nearly 66 years, William (Bill) Satterfield.
We want to give special thanks to the angels at The Terrace at Brightmore, South Charlotte for all of the love and support given to mom and our family during this journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to VIA Health Partners Hospice Care by calling 704.375.0100 or www.viagiving.org/donating or to the

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that her love will continue to guide us. We will cherish every moment we had with her and carry her spirit with us always.
Rest in peace, dear Mom. You are loved beyond measure and will be missed forever.
