St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Mallalieu United Methodist Church honoring the life of Geraldine "Deanie" St. Julian, 67, who passed away on October 26, 2025 at The Carpenter House.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Saturday from 7:30 AM to 1:15 PM.
Pastor Sonya Johnson Pierre will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Burial will follow at Mallalieu United Methodist Cemetery.
Geraldine "Deanie" St. Julian was born to Bernard Mitchell, Jr. and Geraline Batiste Mitchell on July 28, 1958. Geraldine was a friendly, loving person who truly lived life to the fullest - a fun, lively spirit who loved to celebrate every moment.
To many, she was like a second mom, always offering love, laughter and support. She enjoyed spending time with others, going shopping and especially cooking delicious meals to share with her family and friends.
Her energy, kindness and love for life will be remembered and cherished always.
She is survived by her husband, Evans St. Julian; son, Nathaniel St. Julian; mother, Geraline Mitchell; father, Bernard Mitchell, Jr.; brothers, Carl Mitchell (Debra), Jonathon Mitchell (Mary), and, Bernard Mitchell, III; and her Godchildren, JaQuam Mitchell, Jessica Williams Dural and Keyontae Jackson.
She is preceded in death by her nephew Jeremy Mitchell; her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and maternal grandparents that went before her in eternal rest.
Pallbearers will be Lyndon Raymond, Jr., Joshua Raymond, Quinton Mitchell, Clayton Mitchell, II, Dentrail Williams and DaJohn Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Flugence, Steven James Charles, II, Marcus Wallace, Sr., Elvin Spears, Jr., Reginald Matthew, John Charles, Clayton Mitchell, John Gardner, Louis Brown, Rubin Sims, Eric Batiste, Ron Narcisse, and Nikkia Narcisse.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Carpenter House, Diane Charles, Darlton Mae Doucet and a host of family and friends who were supportive and care to Geraldine in her time of need.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
