She is survived by her 3 children Deborah Volpe, Vincent Paul Volpe, and Karen Volpe; 2 sister-in-laws Joy Adams and Rosemary (Gary) Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent G. Volpe, her parents Anton & Sylvia Stasney and her brother Tony Stasney.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 3 pm to 7 pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake St., Aurora, IL 60506, 630-631-5500.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Conquer Myasthenia Gravis, please visit their website at www.myastheniagravis.org.

Sorry to hear of Geri´s passing. I remember her fondly as a no holds barred mentor to new nurses and a passionate advocate for her patients.

I was saddened to learn of Geraldine's passing. While I didn't know her personally, I had the absolute pleasure of sharing in song and friendship with her children when I was a music teacher on the west side of Aurora many years ago. Surely the kindness, strong work ethic, and support they offered me as a young teacher grew from seeds that were planted by their parents at a very early age. My heartfelt sympathy goes to Geraldine's children as they mourn this most profound loss of the very one who gave them life. May her family find the strength they need in the days ahead.
