Funeral services for GERALDINE E. "GERRY" WAYMIRE, 73, will be held at 11am Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Frontier School of the Bible with Pastor Jon Norwood officiating. Burial will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery. Gerry died December 27, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. Memorials may be given to the American Legion Auxiliary. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Gerry was born December 10, 1948 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Floyd and Mary Green. She attended and graduated from LaGrange High School in 1967 and then attended the National School of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota. She met Ron Waymire in June of 1968 and they were later married on January 18, 1969. The couple moved to Indiana in March of 1969 where she went to work for Ball State College and then for a division of Borg Warner. She later worked for Waymire Grain Farms from 1970 to 1982. Gerry moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1984 where she has resided since. She worked as a secretarial administrator for Campbell Soup, Del Webb, Primerica Financial Services and Big D Flooring Supply Company. She also worked for Arion Care Solutions until she became to ill to work.
Gerry enjoyed crocheting, baking, teaching Sunday School as well as spending time with her church community and family.
Gerry is survived by her husband Ron Waymire of Phoenix, Arizona; her mother Mary Green of Torrington, Wyoming; daughter Shelley (Don) Evans of Phoenix; sons Brian Waymire and Christine Spalding of Pfeffelbach, Germany, Tim (Nikki Lagneaux) Waymire of Anthem, Arizona and Kelly (Jill) Waymire of Torrington; sister Sally (Casey) Hunter of Yoder, Wyoming; brother Clyde (Melody) Green of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Green and a brother Jim Green.
