Gerard “Gerry” McGraw, age 66, of Havertown, PA, and a former resident of Dunmore, PA, died January 14, 2026, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with his loving wife, Janet, by his side.
Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of Michael J. and Jane S. Gilligan McGraw. He was a 1977 graduate of Dunmore High School, obtained an AA degree from Penn State and a BS degree from University of Scranton. He worked as a draftsman at Babcock & Wilcox in Scranton, enjoyed working at Kids toy store where he met his wife, consultant with Actium/Idea Integration, and was a well-respected engineer at Lockheed Martin having recently retired after decades of service. Co-workers described him as a mentor, friend, and well-loved. He and his wife, the former Janet Veltri, formerly of Throop, PA, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in May 2025.
Gerard was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister Mary, brother Vincent DePaul, father-in-law and best buddy, Pete Veltri, brother-in-law, Peter Veltri, sister-in-law, Gail Veltri, brother-in-law Phil Furiosi and nephew Philip Furiosi. Survivors include his sons, Daniel of Long Pond, PA and Matthew of Havertown, PA, mother-in-law, Marion Veltri of Throop, sister-in-law, Debbie Veltri of Jessup, brothers, Michael McGraw, and his wife, Patricia, of Newark, DE, John McGraw, of New Jersey, and Joseph McGraw, and his wife, Grace, of Daleville; sisters Anne Furiosi, of Scranton, Karen Pasqualicchio, and her husband, Louis, of Dunmore, and Ellen Byrne, and her fiancé, Chuck McDonald, of Clarks Summit, Uncle James McGraw of Dunmore; sister-in-law, Colleen McGraw (Vincent) and fiancé Bill Brown, of Massachusetts, brother-in- law, Perry Collins (Mary) of Florida, sister-in-law Janet (Peter) of Dalton, PA, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
Gerard loved his family, his cats- Ophelia and Finnegan, a good bourbon, fishing lures, tools, crossword puzzles, and bird watching on the deck of his lake house. He was generous, kind, and possessed a quick wit. He will be so missed by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday evening, January 22, 2026 at Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 followed by a sevice at 8 PM.
There will also be a Celebration of Gerry's Life on Sunday, January 25th from 1 PM to 4 PM at Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc.,318 East Drinker Street, Dunmore, PA 18512.
