)Gerda Dexheimer was born to eternal life on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born in Velen, Germany, and at 16 years old immigrated to Fond Du Lac, WI. Gerda spent 55 years living on the farm in Sullivan, WI, with her beloved late husband Donald. She was a hard-working, independent and passionate person in everything she did and loved her family and friends immensely.

Gerda is survived by her children Christa (Mike) Weygandt, Kirk (Kathe) Dexheimer, and Gary (Kristine) Dexheimer. She is also survived by her grandchildren Derek and Chad Heinzelman, Alayna Dexheimer, AJ (Luisa) Dexheimer, and great-grandson Kai Dexheimer. She is further survived by her sister Christa Herwig and brother Paul Lensing of Germany and brother Karl Heinz Lensing of Brazil.

Gerda is predeceased by her parents Alfons and Paula Lensing, husband Skip Dexheimer, son Brian Dexheimer, and grandson Ethan Dexheimer. Gerda worked retail sales at JF Haberdashery for many years, where she enjoyed her friendships with many customers and owner Paul. She found great joy gardening, which consisted mostly of growing geraniums and many other flowers which decorated the entire house and farm buildings, which were enjoyed by many passing by. She and Don also enjoyed their many winters together at their condo in Fountain Hills, AZ, where they loved to spend time with friends and family.

Her family is thankful for the compassionate doctors and nursing staff at Pro Health Oconomowoc Hospital and Pewaukee Oncology, as well as AngelsGrace Hospice of Oconomowoc.

There will be a private family service and burial to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gerda’s name to AngelsGrace Hospice (N74W35908 Servants' Way Oconomowoc, WI 53066) are greatly appreciated.
