Gerda Herta Margot Score, 96, passed away peacefully Friday November 22nd, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte (Gruel) and Max Mitschker; sister, Edith E. Wilson; and husband, Orville Score. She was born February 4, 1928, in Berlin, Germany. There she met her husband Orville Score, and they were married on August 15th, 1955, in Berlin. Subsequently, she immigrated to the United States and became a US citizen on November 17, 1959. Gerda worked as a bank clerk and supervisor in several US states as she followed Orville's career in the US Army: ultimately settling down in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Gerda was an avid cook, enjoyed sewing, working in her beautiful garden, and reading. Her delight and passion were for their many adopted pets.
Memorial donations may be sent to Bird Refuge for Injured Birds at Downs Park of Anne Arundel County or made online through https://mdbirds.org/donations/birders-guide-md-dc/. A memorial gathering in Wisconsin will be planned with family and friends at a later date.
