Gerdine Stevens Obituary
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11am at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel. Burial will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Arthur Stevens, Sr. of the home. A son, Charles Arthur Stevens, Jr. Daughters, Chardene Ruth Sumlin of TX, Regena Stevens-Ratchford and Diane Stevens Ford both of MD and Debbie Stevens-Wright of MA. Sisters, Doris Murphy and Myrtle Carlton, both of NC; a brother, Nathaniel Carlton of VA, along with ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 5-7pm.
The Family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Samuel Council Chapter 555th PIA that will be used to establish a scholarship in the Memory of Trooper Gerdine Stevens. Donations can be mailed to: P. O. Box 555, Fayetteville NC 28302 or payable by Zelle:[email protected]
