Gerhard Conrad Hauser

Gerhard "Gary" C. Hauser of Elmira, NY passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on February 18, 2026.

Born in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of the late Rudolf and Stephanie (Mize) Hauser. Gary spent most of his early years in Towanda, PA. He built a respected career with Northrop Grumman and later retired from Amphenol Communication Solutions in upstate New York.

Gary was a kind and gentle man whose quiet life was marked by humility, simplicity, and faith. Though shy and often content in solitude, he expressed his love through small acts of kindness and a steady, caring presence. Throughout his life, Gary found comfort in nature and in his relationship with God, trusting in His grace even when words were few.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his siblings, Stephanie Hauser, Rudolf Hauser, and Dorothy (Hauser) Emery.

We take comfort in knowing that Gary now rests in the loving arms of our Lord, where he is fully known, fully welcomed, and forever at peace.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home in Corning.
