Gerry Laurent

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Geraldine Janice Laurent, known fondly as "Gerry" or "GG," on September 1, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the age of 91. Born on November 7, 1933, in Algoma, Wisconsin, to DeWayne and Anita (Stehula) Richmond, Gerry grew up with enduring Midwestern roots and values that shaped her long and meaningful life. She was a devoted wife to the late Kenneth Laurent, and together they built a loving family and home. After moving their family to Arizona in 1978, they continued to enjoy spending summers in Algoma every year.

Cherished by all who knew her, Gerry leaves behind three children: Michael (Cheryl) Laurent, Todd Laurent, and Michelle (Michael) Quinlan; four grandchildren: Justin (Lindsey) and Joshua Laurent and Wyatt and Wade Quinlan; and four great-grandchildren: James, Lillian, Landon, and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken, and her daughter Candice Pittro. Gerry's legacy lives on through her family and friends, who will remember her warmth and love for bingo.

The viewing on Thursday, September 11th, 5:00-7:00 pm and memorial service on Friday, September 12th, at 5:00 pm, followed by a reception, will be held at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. There will be a private burial at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
