Gerry Lamar O'Briant

Gerry Lamar O'Briant, age 52, of Dalton, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald O'Briant and Joyce Motes; and son, Levi O'Briant.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Rita O'Briant; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew (Taylor Curtis) Marker of Calhoun; daughters and son-in-law, Becca Marker of Calhoun, and Maegan (Joshua Delaune) of Pensacola, FL; sister, Karen O'Briant; brother, Jerry O'Briant and grandchildren, Ava Delaune, Mia Marker, Malakai Cusick, Miliana Poole, Neyahn Marker, and Violet Marker.

Gerry lived life wide open- whether it was on his fast boat, behind the wheel of a car, or, in his younger days, flying down a dirt bike trail. He loved the outdoors, but his greatest joy was time with family, especially teaching his grandchildren and passing down the know-how and lessons that mattered most to him.

A man of deep faith, Gerry gave God the glory in all he did and was always ready to help at church or lend a hand wherever he was needed. His strength, generosity, and laughter will be dearly missed.

The funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rusty Haradon officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Homes on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Burial will be held in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
