Gertrude Caldwell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bram Funeral Home - Hamilton on Dec. 16, 2025.
Gertrude "Trudy" Luella (Adams) Caldwell, 70, of Breckenridge, MO., passed away on December 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering strength.

Trudy was born on April 28, 1955, in Riverside, California, to Bessie and Maynard Adams. From the very beginning, her life was marked by a heart for others. She opened her home and her arms to countless people, taking many under her roof and helping more than could ever be counted. She gave freely and selflessly, never expecting anything in return. She was loving, caring, funny, fearless, and full of life. Trudy had a way of making people feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. She was the kind of woman who showed up---no matter the circumstance---and whose presence made everything feel a little lighter. Her laughter, strength, and compassion will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Trudy was a devoted wife, a proud mother, a cherished grandmother, and a beloved great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in each generation. She was especially excited to welcome her first great-great-grandchild, due to arrive in March--a testament to the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Thornton (Dean) of Gravois Mills, MO; her sons, Shane Manley (Liz) and Shawn Manley (Heather), both of Breckenridge, MO; and her grandchildren: Ashley Norton (Cole), Amy Adrian, Renee Alvarez (Robbie). Michael Thornton, Madison Manley, Kiersten Manley, Jonathan Daleske, Anthony Manley, and Gage Manley. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way. Trudy is further survived by her sisters, Beverly Lee, Sara Martin, Ronda Caldwell, and Carolyn Willey; her brothers, Merrill Adams and Danny Adams; along with many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Caldwell; her son, Chevy Manley; her grandsons, Colton Manley and Jobe Naylor; her parents, Bessie and Maynard Adams; and her brothers, Isaac, Gary and Stanley Adams.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 27, 2025, at 3 p.m., at the Breckenridge Community Center, located at 715 W. Grant, Breckenridge, MO., 64625.

Trudy's life was a living example of unconditional love and quiet strength. Thou she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the family she loved so fiercely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
